AssociationATA Membership
The Allied Trade Association is an association of independent companies selling products and services to Laboratory Research Companies and Facilities. For over 50 years the ATA has represented the interests of commercial businesses at the National AALAS Meeting and more recently the LAMA/ATA meeting. ATA members on AALAS and LAMA committees provide expert consultation on a variety of common interests including technical trade presentations and dedicated exhibit hall time.
Our membership are companies that produce the latest innovations, products, and services that are critical components necessary for quality animal research and encompass all aspects of research resources including the animals, caging, environmental control, testing equipment, personal protection, contract testing services and much more.
Each year ATA companies spend millions of dollars in support of National AALAS, local AALAS branches LAMA and other Laboratory Animal Science Meetings. In additional ATA members support Scientific Journals, trade publications, AALAS and LAMA foundation and other outreach programs.
Membership includes 1 voting member and the inclusion of an unlimited number of your employees on the ATA circulation list .
Cost of the membership is $175.00 annually.
Member Benefits
- ATA members enjoy a $50.00 discount on exhibit booth costs at the AALAS National meeting
- Receive one (1) additional priority point for booth selection for the next AALAS National Meeting. AALAS uses a "priority points system", for booth assignment. Priority points are awarded and increased annually , one (1) each for ATA Membership and booth space purchase for each year.
- ATA has published Suggested Guidelines for Local AALAS Branch Meetings for use by affiliated AALAS groups holding meetings with attached trade shows, outlining our needs as exhibitors; and is posted on the ATA Link on the AALAS website.
- ATA co-sponsors the LAMA/ATA meeting, providing speakers for the annual event. Exhibts are not allowed at the LAMA meeting allowing ATA members the freedom to network and act as ordinary delegates.
- ATA members receive a single discounted ($50.00) registration discounts for the LAMA/ATA annual meeting.
- The ATA sponsors several individuals to attend the annual meeting.
- LAMA will offer ATA the first right opportunity for speakers and presenters at the meeting.
