The Allied Trade Association (ATA) brings together independent companies that provide products, services, equipment, and expertise to the laboratory animal science community.

For more than 50 years, ATA has represented commercial partners at the National AALAS Meeting and, more recently, at the LAMA/ATA Meeting. ATA members also serve on AALAS and LAMA committees, provide expert consultation, support educational programming, and help strengthen industry engagement across the field.

Our members include companies that produce and support many of the critical resources used in animal-based research, including animals, caging, environmental control systems, testing equipment, personal protection products, contract testing services, and more.

Each year, ATA member companies invest significant time, resources, and funding in support of National AALAS, local AALAS branches, LAMA, Laboratory Animal Science meetings, scientific journals, trade publications, the AALAS Foundation, the LAMA Foundation, and other outreach programs.

ATA membership includes one voting member and the ability to include an unlimited number of company employees on the ATA circulation list.

Annual membership is $175.

• ATA members enjoy a $50.00 discount on exhibit booth costs at the AALAS National meeting
• Receive one (1) additional priority point for booth selection for the next AALAS National Meeting. AALAS uses a "priority points system",  for booth assignment.  Priority points are awarded and increased annually , one (1) each for ATA Membership and booth space purchase for each year. 
• ATA has published Suggested Guidelines for Local AALAS Branch Meetings for use by affiliated AALAS groups holding meetings with attached trade shows, outlining our needs as exhibitors; and is posted on the ATA Link on the AALAS website. 
• ATA co-sponsors the  LAMA/ATA meeting, providing speakers for the annual event.  Exhibts are not allowed at the LAMA meeting allowing ATA members the freedom to network and act as ordinary delegates.  
• ATA members receive a single discounted ($50.00) registration discounts for the LAMA/ATA annual meeting.
• The ATA sponsors several individuals to attend the annual meeting.     
• LAMA will offer ATA the first right opportunity for speakers and presenters at the meeting.
