ATA supports programs, meetings, scholarships, and educational efforts that strengthen the laboratory animal science community and encourage continued professional engagement across the field.
Floyd Poling Award
Awarded to a worthy member who has served this organization well. The Floyd Poling Award commemorates the ATA founder and his important vision for cooperation.
Industry Innovation Award
The award recognizes an ATA Company and/or its employee of a company who has been responsible for developing an apparatus, product or service that has been adopted into general laboratory science.
Robert O. Boyington Lifetime Achievement Award
Lifetime Achievement award is a life membership with the ARA and is available to an ATA member who have either a) reached the age of 65 and been a ATA member is good standing for 20 years or b) served as president of the ATA. The Robert O. Boyington Award commemorates Robert for four decades of service to the ATA.
LAMA Scholarships
The Allied Trade Association (ATA) is making available up to three $800 scholarships for LAMA members attending their first LAMA/ATA Annual Meeting. The scholarships will cover the meeting registration fee ($445) and up to $355 to cover various travel expenses. The scholarship recipients will be selected based on merit and financial need.
Applicants must provide the following information:
■ A completed ATA scholarship application form ■ A letter of recommendation from his/her supervisor ■ Current curriculum vitae or resume ■ A letter of request stating why you would like to attend the LAMA / ATA Annual Meeting. This letter should include the goals and objectives the candidate wishes to achieve, and evidence that without financial support from the ATA, the candidate would not be able to attend.
