The NCAB Seminar is September 11-12, 2019 at the Turf Valley Resort and Conference Center in Ellicott City MD.


Periodically, the ATA awards its prestigious POLLING VENDOR-OF-THE-YEAR AWARD to a worthy member who has served the organization well. This award commemorates the ATA founder Floyd Polling and his important vision for cooperation.

The ATA INDUSTRY INNOVATION AWARD recognizes an ATA company and or employee of a company who has been responsible for developing an apparatus, product or service that has been adopted into general lab animal science use.
The BOYINGTON LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD is available to ATA members reached 65 years of age and has been a continuous ATA member for 20 years or competed a term as president of ATA. The Robert O. Boyington Award commemorates Robert Boyington’s four decades of service to the ATA.

LAMA is an association dedicated to advancing the quality of management and care of laboratory animals throughout the world.

Since its establishment in 1984, LAMA has grown to over 700 members residing in geographical locations as widespread as Asia, Australia, Europe and Canada. The membership continues an active role in AALAS and the career field by providing leadership to numerous committees and organizations on local, state and national levels.


The Allied Trade Association (ATA) is making available up to three $800 scholarships for LAMA members attending their first LAMA/ATA Annual Meeting for 2018 in Clearwater Beach, FL. The scholarships will cover the meeting registration fee ($445) and up to $355 to cover various travel expenses. Selection of the scholarship recipients will be based on merit and a financial need.

Applicants must provide the following information:

■ A completed ATA scholarship application form. Go to LAMA website for the official application.
■ A letter of recommendation from his/her supervisor
■ Current curriculum vitae or resume
■ A letter of request stating why you would like to attend the LAMA / ATA Annual Meeting. This letter should include the goals and objectives the candidate wishes to achieve, and evidence that without financial support from the ATA, the candidate would not be able to attend.

Deadline for application submission is December 31, 2018. Scholarship selections will be announced in early February.
